Tomorrow - Creative Scrappers 246

Good morning all,
So it's been awhile since I played along with a scrapbooking blog but this weeks sketch from Creative Scrappers really worked for me.

I flipped it and only used one photo. Last week in church we talked about tomorrows and how only GOD knows what tomorrow will bring and we need to have faith that we will be looked after. It's wasteful to worry about tomorrow, when you don't have much control over it. This is something I need to remember, as I worry a lot. This page is going in my faithbook as a reminder.

We are getting hit hard with snow again...hope everyone is keeping safe!

Creative Scrappers- 220- I will remember you

Hi everyone,
It's been along time since I participated in a sketch challenge but last week this sketch from Creative scrappers really inspired me.

I loved the simplicity of it and it was perfect for this LO about the magnolia tree I planted in memory of my step dad, Denis. The purple/pink colour of the paper is the colour the blooms of the flowers will be, hopefully next year.
I hope everyone if enjoying their week. It's raining here again, after over a month without rain, so my brother and I are going to spend the afternoon watching Supernatural. Got to get the rest of the season in before he goes back to Uni in Sept.
Peace.

Creative Scrappers - 188 - Thank you, and a baby in a box.

Hello all,
I hope everyone has had a wonderful holiday. I did!
So, I know I haven't participated in a challenge in a while. To be honest nothing was inspiring me and I wouldn't have been able to share it anyway since all the scrapping I have been doing over the last 6 weeks has been for memory books for my siblings for Christmas. When I saw sketch 188 from Creative Scrappers I knew it would be perfect for the thank you card that arrived for me from my friend April. I also got lots of scrapbooking stuff for Christmas ( lets just say that I wont have to shop for patterned paper for a very long time) and I couldn't wait to break into it. And I really wanted to use my new Crop-A-Dile.
So here is sketch 188:

And here is my take:

I also wanted to share this sweet pic of my niece Alexis.

Baby in a box!
She really liked the box my gift from Dad and Sandra gave me. The best gift I got this Christmas was kisses from Alexis, she was giving them to everyone on Christmas day. Best gift ever!

Bridesmaids - Creative Scrappers - 178

And another from Creative Scrappers

At April's wedding her sister Vicki and our friend Jenn made very beautiful bridesmaids. I'm pleased with how this LO turned out b/c it was the first time that I had used paint on a LO. Taking Soul Restoration 1 by Brave Girls Club has really inspired me to take a few more risks with my scrap booking and not always worrying about being perfect. For this LO the risk was worth it.

Together - Creative Scrappers

Here's one from Creative Scrappers

This summer my cousin Roo got married. I love love how this LO turned out. I love the colours. The picture is actually their thank you card, which I thought was a great idea.

Creative Scrappers - 163 - Nana Jenings' rocking chair

Hi everyone! Happy Canada Day long weekend!!! Happy Independence Day to all my American friends out there. I hope everyone is enjoying their long weekend where ever you are.
I spent the wrap up to my long weekend working on a LO based on a Creative Scrappers sketch.
Journalling reads: Nana Jenings is my Nana's mom. This rocker was her favourite place to rock babies or contemplate life. The arm rests are worn where she rested her hands. Right now it sits in my living room. Hopefully someday it will sit in a nursery and I will rock my babies in it.

Thanks for stopping by!

Creative Scrappers - 139- Christmas Elf

Yesterday I played with this sketch from Creative Scrappers.

This picture of my step-niece was taken the weekend before Christmas @ my Dad's house.
The holly leaves were a failed attempt of a snow flake (it was actually too large for the LO). The holly are actually little gold snow flakes that I cut from a Christmas card.

Creative Scrappers - 134- Circle Series

More snow more scrapping. Oh how I would love to stay home tonight and not go to work. Anyway this is LO is brought to you by Creative Scrappers and their 134th sketch.

This LO is for my Faithbook. It's about a set of books I fell in love with last summer, the Circle Series by Ted Dekker. Basically they are about a man who one day falls asleep in our reality and wakes up many, many years in the future. When he falls asleep in the future he wakes back up in the present. Both realities telling him that the other is not real. He soon discovers that what he learns in one can be applied to the other. The books have strong biblical symbolism, Black basically being the fall. They are also a circle, I read them Black, Red, White and Green. Green was just in the process of being written when I started but they can also be read Green, Black, Red and White. I was very excited when I read these books last summer. They changed me.

Creative Scrappers -133 - Lilies

Last week I played with this sketch from Creative Scrappers.
It really was perfect for my lilies page.

You should see the snow we are getting. I was suppose to go to CPR this afternoon but it's been cancelled. It might be a good day to scrap some more, after I shovel a bit first.

Creative Scrappers # 127 - Blessed.

This layout is inpired by Creative Scappers sketch 127.
This layout is for my faithbook and tells how truely blessed I am to be friends with Matt and his wife Emma. He is one of the only friends I have that I can be open and honest about my faith in GOD. Our faith has been what has made our friendship strong.
